What to expect on your first visit
On your first visit to the clinic, you will be greeted by Shawna, the office administrator and asked to complete a health history form if you haven’t already done so through our Jane App software (online fillable form). Once complete, she will show you to a treatment room where Dr. Erin, the chiropractor will meet with you.
The meeting with Dr. Erin begins with an in-depth discussion about your injury, health status, lifestyle and treatment goals. With your consent, she will move onto a physical examination of all areas related to your injury. Next, a discussion of the nature of the injury, differential diagnoses, treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives will take place and with your consent, treatment will follow.
Dr. Erin encourages questions at all times during your first visit as she wants you to fully understand all aspects of treatment and be an active participant in your treatment plan.
As Dr. Erin offers a wide variety of treatment options, the time required can vary. Expect your first visit to last roughly 30 minutes. And, if you happened to be dressed all wrong for that day’s treatment (wearing skinny jeans for a knee treatment) we will supply a gown for you to wear.
Please bring your extended health care insurance card to your first visit as we are able to directly bill many insurers, minimizing the work on your end.

Insurance Coverage Information
Chiropractic care is covered under many extended healthcare plans and the majority of insurance companies will dispense full or partial coverage for treatment.
Since the amount of coverage varies between plans, it is important that you contact your benefits representative for details on your specific plan. Dealing with insurance companies may seem frustrating and time consuming. For your convenience, we offer direct billing for most insurance companies.
Chiropractic treatment is not covered by OHIP.
If you have been in a motor vehicle accident, you must report your injuries to your automobile insurer in order to receive approval for treatment coverage. Once a claim has been opened, treatment may be provided.
If you have been injured at work, it must be reported to your employer. In the event that a WSIB Claim is filed, treatment may be covered by WSIB following their approval.
